What’s Keeping Spiritual People Broke – Part 2

When I joined the Miracle of Money certification program, I made a commitment to help my clients break through financially. So far, I have seen them going through massive inner transformation and having huge insights and breakthroughs. But I don’t sell insights and breakthroughs, I sell concrete results. This brought me to question what’s missing in order for that specific tribe to get the financial results. Even though I officially left David Neagle’s Miracle of Money certification program, this changes nothing to my commitment. It really doesn’t matter who supports me or who gets in the way, I’m going forward anyway.

One of the reasons for the lack of financial results is value conflicts with the rest of what I’m teaching as explained here. Value conflicts are fairly easy to resolve. It simply requires a higher level of consciousness to bridge both my system and David’s system together. There is another reason for the lack of financial results, and this one is tougher to resolve.

If you look at the way money circulates, whether you have a job or a business, money flow in from like-minded people and flow out into the things you value. The easiest way to make money is to find groups of like-minded people seeking what you offer and get in front of them. I am mostly attracting young spiritual people such as indigo children and millennials. The problem is that this emerging spiritual tribe isn’t yet organized and there’s not much money circulating between them. It’s just a bunch of people here and there without money. It makes it hard to find groups of like-minded people, and if you do, they don’t have much money to invest anyway.

During the day of the 2012 energy shift, I was walking in Bangkok’s china-town. I was reading the history of how Chinese people came 200 years ago due to very difficult conditions in their country. They came to Bangkok with nothing and took whatever job they could find. Then, they would switch to a better job or start their own business. The Chinese community has grown tremendously over time and today it is a very powerful economic center of Bangkok. If you walk there, you see HUGE markets selling all kinds of goods in a densely-populated area. There were also many gold shops filled with 50-80 people waiting in line in each! It is incredible how much wealth and business is moving around in that area, especially when you think it all started from nothing. They really created their own ecosystem and those interested in what they offer go over to that area.

When it comes to spiritual communities, I see a clear difference between young spirituals and older spirituals. Young spirituals are highly spiritual by nature but not really conscious of it while older spirituals are trying to be spiritual to ease the pain in their lives. Older spirituals usually mostly develop their connection to oneness and/or their masculine goal-driven spirituality. They are usually open to femininity as long as it doesn’t involve letting go of controlling their lives and surrendering to a higher inner truth. Younger spirituals, on the other hand, are born with a higher spiritual balance and are very open to feminine consciousness and sexual consciousness because it resonates with what they already have. Also, while the majority of people identity themselves by their problems and challenges, older spirituals tend to identify themselves by their spiritual beliefs and spiritual practices. Contrary to what would seem logical, they become very closed-minded to any other spiritual principles because it would threaten their self-identity and everything they’ve built on top of it, especially if they are coaches or have a business teaching spiritual principles. Younger spirituals naturally carry a higher consciousness and have nothing to lose so they tend to be much more open-minded, and these younger spirituals are those I am attracting.

These younger spirituals are barely starting to get organized into communities. Oprah recently had a TV interview with next-generation spiritual thinkers which is a really great progress. Even these three successful teachers say that this group of young spirituals doesn’t have much money. We have to build a new ecosystem of like-minded people, and it’s going to be very difficult to do it just within a bunch of people without money. It’s very difficult to build wealth by adding pennies. The fastest way to build this new ecosystem would be to have people who have plenty of money to join that community and inject money into it. The good news is that with the 2012 energy shift, many people are shifting from non-spirituals to spiritual-but-not-conscious-of-it. As the whole planet is energetically activating, everybody is starting to carry a higher consciousness which shifts their way of thinking. That means anyone can now potentially be part of this new tribe, especially visionary entrepreneurs seeking to go where society is heading.

When it comes to building a new ecosystem of highly-conscious people, this is something much bigger than me or than anyone of you. It’s a little bit scary, which is a good indication that this is the direction to go. I also invite you to take a proactive position into this as I’m not going to do it alone. The closest analogy to this would be in the movie The Matrix. It’s very difficult for the people living outside the matrix to live abundantly because there are no organized communities to build wealth, except in the city of Zion. Zion is an example of a community and ecosystem built outside the matrix, and that’s what has to grow.

This is not an easy challenge to overcome but the implications of it will be very rewarding in many ways. The easiest way for you to break free financially and build this new ecosystem would be to reach out to people with money and bring them into this new way of thinking. It can be by reaching to people who have plenty of money but don’t like what they are doing, or by reaching out to visionary entrepreneurs seeking to go where society is heading. What role can you play in all this?

2012 Consciousness Shift Explained

Yesterday was the end of the Mayan calendar. It’s not the end of the world; it’s the end of the calendar. Many associate that date with the beginning of a new golden age of consciousness and prosperity. Those who don’t know will say nothing happened, and those who know will say everything happened. What has been your experience on December 21st 2012? Here’s my experience.

First let me explain how the Mayan calendar works. It represents cycles of evolution where each new cycles is 20 times shorter and 20 times faster than the previous cycle. That would explain why everything seems to be speeding up in our society. Around 1998, we went from an era of 13 periods of 20 years to an era of 13 periods of 1 year. That’s about when the spirituality movement first started emerging. During the whole year 2012, we went from an era of 13 periods of 1 year to an era of 13 periods of 20 days, and lots of stuff has been happening during that year. On December 8th 2012, we moved onto an era of 13 periods of 1 day. The explanation of the 2012 consciousness shift I posted over a year ago has proven to be very accurate.

Ever since December 8th, I have been feeling a whirlwind inside and haven’t been able to get any work done. I asked a few other people and there are many others who started feeling itchy, all over the place, distracted, with high bursts of energy or saw unusual things happening to them or around them, either positive or negative. Those who are highly intuitive probably got affected the most by the shift. I spent a lot of time meditating to absorb as much of the energy as possible. On December 21st, we moved to a new era of 13 periods of 1h12. I felt the energy being extremely intense during the last day as we were preparing to enter a very rare planetary alignment at the equinox at 11:11 GST, 18:11 Bangkok time.

I was walking in the city and felt an urge to come back home so I did. I was laid on my couch with the energy being extremely intense and growing exponentially. Right around 18:11, the energy was in complete turmoil for about 5 minutes. That’s exactly what I had predicted. However, I’m surprised with what happened afterwards.

Consciousness GridAll of a sudden, I got right up my foot as if nothing happened. It was 18:15. I also felt an energy grid of consciousness activating around the planet at that precise moment.

At first I was shocked at how suddenly the turmoil had stopped. Then I looked at the new energy grid with my intuitive perceptions and it has an extremely high-vibration level. You can actually connect to it with your consciousness. Visualize the planet with the energy grid around it, and visualize yourself standing next to it (like a giant in space or whatever). Then, put both your hands on two bars of the energy grid to connect to it, and pay attention to how you feel. I had always been struggling with properly grounding my root chakra. My personality was extending beyond the moon and my grounding to the physical world was extending to the sky. Since grounding to the new energy grid, my personality extends slightly beyond the cosmos and my grounding to the physical world extends to the cosmos. My root chakra has greatly expanded.

If one thing happened during the 2012 energy shift, it is the activation of this new energy grid. The effects of it will show over time. Here’s the thing. A fear and control based system cannot exist under such a consciousness grid. In the days before the shift, I felt the remnants of what some call “The Illuminati” dissolving to make place for this new grid. A corporation without an energetic structure is as weak as a thought without emotion or a group without a cause. If the energetic structure is gone, it’s just a matter of time before the physical aspect dissolves as well.

If the fear and control based system is gone, at least in our collective consciousness, what does this mean? It means it’s time to create a new system at our image, piece by piece.

This was not the end of the world; it was simply the end of the calendar. The bulk of the changes will happen between now and 2015, and there will be other waves of changes afterwards. History doesn’t end here, it’s just the beginning.

The Path to the 5th Dimension Review – Jacques Tombazian

The Path to the 5th DimensionMany of you wanted to learn more about Alchemy and I wanted to produce a training with some of that knowledge since a while. My Alchemy teacher Jacques Tombazian has finally done it. He just released a new book, The Path to the 5th Dimension, which explores many advanced spiritual and healing concepts you cannot find in any other books. This is his second book, after “Mystical Alchemy: The Path to Enlightenment”. While the previous book required over a year to do the meditations and didn’t provide much explanations, this new book is very well explained and much more accessible, while covering even deeper topics.

He’s basically giving it away for free. Personally I would have made it a high-end $497 training. While the previous book was a physical book, he released this one as an e-book for… $17.99!!

If you want to work with me, I highly recommend to first go through that book. It covers all the basics you need to know and that would then allow us to do much more advanced work.

Get it now for $17.99

The Path to the 5th Dimension by Jacques Tombazian

By the way, last month I took 11 days off to the South of Thailand after coming back from San Diego to reflect and meditate. I uploaded some really gorgeous pictures from that trip on Facebook. You can take a look if you want a glimpse of what my life looks like.

Resolving Value Conflicts

I have to confess. I have been promising clients to generate a money miracle in their lives recently, and I have put them in a situation of profound value conflict preventing success, whether they are aware of it or not. If this led a single client into a difficult situation, my own integrity is taking a hit and this is not acceptable. I am writing this with a huge dose of honesty, transparency and integrity for all those who worked with me recently. This is also a way to clarify my own thoughts on the topic and clear my mind. I’m sure the rest of you will also benefit from this confession.

What I am sharing here is the result of a month of profound meditation and in-depth reality check. I must say this phase is not easy for me to go through but it must be done. I always had difficulty stepping into my true power and into my own truth. One thing I did during the month is a meditation, assisted with my Alchemy teacher, to activate my true essence at its full potential. This activation was done in several phases over several days. During the process, my posture, voice and behaviors were shifting instantaneously and in very profound ways. My magnetism has also been drastically magnified. It also created a tide wave of energy realigning or dissolving anything that is out of alignment with my path. Nothing can stop this level of spiritual power.

Unfortunately, my relationship with David Neagle’s team has not reacted well to this energetic realignment and I had to step out of the Miracle of Money certification program. I don’t want to talk too much about the drama of it but I’ll just briefly explain the situation. The lead coach who was providing most of the support was basically telling me that if we can’t figure out how to make money from my true purpose, then I should do something else that’s easier to make money. Truth be told, if all I wanted was to make money, I would have stayed in Information Technology and would have started a business in that field. She just was telling me one thing while spirit was telling me the exact opposite. When spirit and the support are in opposition, then I must make a judgment call. Also, David’ business is built on a solid rigid structure. They have not been willing to admit that the head coach wasn’t a good fit for me, and integrity is not part of their vocabulary. This makes it by far the biggest and least supportive investment I’ve ever made. If I’m in a situation that leaves no place for my spirit’s voice to express itself, then I have no business being here. The fact that I don’t have the financial results certainly doesn’t mean I’m not conscious. It simply means something is out of alignment.

David Neagle teaches the highest consciousness stuff out there about money and sales, and that’s why I decided to work with him. Truth be told, I only study from the world’s most conscious people in their respective fields. Although I teach extremely high consciousness knowledge, what I quickly realized by working with David is that he teaches a completely different set of laws from what I was used to. This made me realize I had a one-legged spiritual foundation based on the feminine universal laws which include magnetism, integrity, purpose alignment and heart connection. And, David also has a one-legged spiritual foundation based on the masculine universal laws which include action, focus, creation and responsibility.

Here’s what ended up happening both at the Montreal and the Thailand events. I have been teaching two extremely high consciousness systems that didn’t quite fit together yet. Value conflicts kill success, and there are very deeply-rooted value conflicts going on. This can cause a profound state of information overwhelm as it takes a very high level of consciousness to recognize these value conflicts. The first sign that something was off was that the situation of my clients didn’t seem to get any better financially. I was definitely over-delivering in terms of inner transformation, but I wasn’t delivering in terms of financial results. Then, one client told me he started studying from David and was in information overload. He then realized that I was teaching to shift internally to get the external results, while David was teaching to shift the results to change internally, and that conflict had been causing the overwhelm. Since he was already getting tremendous results with my approach, he had to make a judgment call about which path to follow. Then another client contacted me saying he was in a very difficult situation and was following his purpose although he didn’t know how to make it happen. He said he’d rather be broke and follow his spirit than do something that isn’t aligned with his path. The subconscious mind can be shifted instantly with the proper knowledge. The challenge is to become fully aware of what is truly holding you back. You can definitely thrive financially while living your purpose, but there’s something here I haven’t been taught and haven’t been teaching.

The main issues blocking the money miracle are value conflicts, so let’s dig deeper into those and resolve that first.

Value conflict #1: Integrity vs Decisiveness

A first value conflict is becoming very clear by the way they decided to not resolve the situation. If I work with a client and for some reason I realize I can’t help him or I’m not a good fit, I would take responsibility for it and resolve the situation by either refunding or proposing a solution. What I would never do is ask someone to do a leap of faith way beyond their financial means, let them drop on the floor and walk away with the money without providing any solution. The universe will always provide you what you need, and it doesn’t mean it will keep your path easy. I really don’t think it’s necessary to put people into difficult situations, although it makes me grow tremendously and I’ll be OK no matter what.

The reason integrity is not part of their vocabulary is because this is part of the feminine laws which he doesn’t teach. Masculine-driven decisiveness is what he teaches and that’s the way the business is built. That’s the reason it hasn’t reacted well to my energetic realignment. A feminine structure, like water, bends and can never break. A masculine structure, like a rock, cannot bend and instead breaks under stain. The strength of the energy tide wave caused a powerful energetic clash, and energy flows where it has to flow anyway until the energy aligns, dissolves or detaches. It took me a few days of headache until the energy reorganized itself, and what was out of alignment isn’t getting in the way anymore.

Value conflict #2: Purpose vs Money

One foundation piece David teaches is that money is the third most important thing in the world in our modern society, after air and water, because that’s our way of getting food and all our decisions are based on money. The idea is to get to a place of freedom where your decisions aren’t driven by money anymore. This is true, from a survival standpoint. If you already have a million dollars, what is most important between an extra million and doing something that is aligned with your spirit’s purpose? What is most important between an extra Ferrari and having integrity with your clients, friends and family? At that stage, if you keep money as being the third most important thing in the world, you are essentially still living in survival mode. Also, if you make your decisions about what to do, where to live and how to structure your day based on setting the cause that will bring the consequence of money, you are back to the same place where decisions are driven by money; not by a lack of money, but by a desire for money. Money is extremely important and there’s nothing wrong in desiring it, but the whole idea is to get to a place where it doesn’t control your life anymore.

Which brings to the question: does money bring freedom or is it the other way around? Real freedom is in the mind and when your mind is totally free, you can have or achieve anything you desire. Money is a tool to leverage and achieve even more. Since you will always have what you need when you need it, there’s no point in ever living in survival mode. Once you realize survival and covering your needs are illusions, all which is left is freeing your mind and manifesting your desires into physical reality. Since money being the third most important thing in the world is based on survival and there is no such thing as survival, this foundation piece is flawed.

Purpose is the foundation of what you want to build in your life. Freedom is the way you want to design it. Wealth is the end-result. That’s the order it has to be, at least for me. This is exactly what I do with my coaching. I help people design a lifestyle of purpose, freedom and wealth. I don’t do dating coaching anymore. Shoot for the stars and you’ll get everything you want along the way, including the relationships, sex, wealth and everything else.

Any sane person would design a business that generates money and then try to bring some purpose into it. However, here’s something interesting that happens with Natural Grounding and Self-Awakening. This brings a direct feminine realignment which awakens your purpose, passion and spirit in a powerful way. You can only take this business approach when your mind is driven by the ego. The second your ego dissolves and your mind becomes driven by spirit, you cannot take action that is out of alignment with your purpose and path anymore. That is why all the women studying and working with David have their masculinity stronger than their femininity. That is why I and several of my clients are having so many struggles. Yet, consciousness cannot be taken away.

As to masculinity remaining the dominant force, this is really a story about the Western society. After 3 years of running my business and teaching men feminine realignment to awaken their spirit and increase their magnetism (while keeping balance with their masculinity), why the great majority of Western women have visceral defensiveness towards femininity has remained the greatest unanswered riddle. What I’ve been sharing here brings an answer to that riddle. Women in our modern society really have no road map to survive and be successful while fully living their feminine truth. The so-called “resistance” is a survival mechanism. The exceptions are a few rare women who are able to shift their dominant polarity back and forth between work and personal life, and Max Simon’s clients who have a business road map allowing them to fully step into their true feminine essence and thrive with it.

The value conflicts are now laid out on the table. Eventually, it’s up to you to make a judgment call about them. If you have been studying from me recently, dig into your consciousness to see if there are any other value conflicts preventing you from fully moving forward, and if so, let me know about them. I didn’t realize how deep and far-reaching these value conflicts were until writing this, and now that I look at it, the conflicts are probably indeed to deep and impactful to maintain a work relationship with David Neagle although I will definitely keep studying from him. As for all the money I don’t currently have that was invested into this, I’ll consider it a compensation for the can of worms that just opened up.

By clarifying these value conflicts, what I am noticing is that all of a sudden I understand the universal laws he teaches in a much deeper way and they start making sense from a whole new perspective. Several of you have been contacting me since last month to work with me and really I couldn’t take any sales while going through these internal conflicts. Now that this is resolved, I am moving on and I’m getting back to business. For those who contacted me, I’ll get back to you very soon.

Talk soon,

Etienne Charland

Resolving Value Conflicts

Understanding the Mind – Part 2

In the first part of this article, I exposed some flaws in the way spiritual leaders are teaching about the mind. Now, let’s explore Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick-figure diagram of the mind (on the right). First, I will explain his diagram, then I will propose an alternative diagram, and from that new perspective, we’ll then look at how Thurman’s diagram is limiting our understanding of the mind and what are the implications of it.

What he says is very simple: we are a spiritual being, we are gifted with an intellect and we have a physical body. We have a subconscious mind that runs on auto-pilot and that cannot filter information, and we have a conscious mind that can filter information and make decisions. We also have a body, but it is the least important aspect although we do need to take actions. The actions won’t do much if they’re coming from the wrong state of mind, and the actions will flow effortlessly when coming from the proper state of mind. Many self-development and spiritual teachers use this model all the time to explain how the mind works in very simple terms.

Now, let me propose an alternative model. I first drafted this new diagram at Rion Freeberg’s Self-Awakening Immersion Party in Thailand last October. One of the reasons I am writing this is to clarify how what I’m learning based on the previous model fits with the rest of what I’m teaching, because confusion causes inaction and stagnation. I cannot fully integrate new knowledge until it fits with what I already teach. The possibilities this new diagram offers are really interesting.

If you look at the diagram on the left, it is divided in 4 parts. There are the Cyclical Thoughts Patterns and the Universal Mind, and each of them has a Conscious and an Unconscious part.

The Cyclical Thoughts Patterns (CTPs) are the rigid thoughts that are driving your life around, which include your past stories, beliefs system and ego. Most people try to change their lives by re-organizing their CTPs but that doesn’t lead anywhere. All CTPs are rooted in fears in some way or another. Also, the mind does not only reside in the brain. This part of the mind resides in the whole body. For example, someone with a broken heart will keep making decisions based on the same place that will keep manifesting the same kinds of painful experiences over and over again, sometimes on smaller scales and sometimes on larger scales. The cyclical thoughts coming from the broken heart are directly linked to a physical pain you can feel in the heart, and this disbalance can even cause diseases in that area.

Now, some of these cyclical thoughts patterns (CTPs) are conscious and some of them are unconscious. The only reason someone would consciously keep CTPs is because they get benefits from them in some way or another. Conscious CTPs are systems you use in your life that are not aligned with the universal mind. On the other hand, unconscious CTPs are beliefs and fears that are holding you back and sabotaging your life.

Then you have the Universal Mind (UM) which is the global intelligence of the whole universe. It is a plane of thoughts and emotions that re-arranges itself according to specific laws that seek to bring growth to all. All knowledge is at all places simultaneously because the whole universe is inter-connected and comes from the same spiritual source. We are a manifestation of that divine intelligence, and we align with it when we follow our intuition, desires and aspirations.

The conscious part of the Universal Mind (UM) is your intuitive abilities and internal powers. Psychics are simply aware of their subconscious universal mind. This includes your power to read people’s intentions as well as your power to create your life the way you truly want it. The unconscious part of the UM is a part of your internal powers that are working on auto-pilot without you being aware of them. These are dormant powers.

When you look at Thurman’s diagram, the goal seems to be to use your conscious mind to alter your emotions and subconscious mind in ways that will bring you what you want. It gives the illusion of a separation between the conscious and subconscious minds. And more importantly, it leads you to control your emotions with your rational mind which disconnects you from your authentic nature. With my diagram, however, the goal becomes obvious: to get out of cyclical thoughts patterns and become conscious of your subconscious mind. Once you become conscious of the subconscious, there is no separation between them.

Now, here’s where things get really interesting. With this more accurate model, we can now measure your brain to see how much of your life is directed by each of these 4 areas of the mind. This is not possible with Thurman’s model because it doesn’t represent reality closely enough to delimit what to measure. Many people asked me to teach them how to read energies, so here’s how I do it. I focus my mind on a specific idea and a number pops into my mind. The key is to clear the noise on the line and start trusting your perceptions. That’s all there is to it.

Here’s the way my own mind is operating, as well as Rion Freeberg and Eckhart Tolle.

I am operating 92% from the Universal Mind and 8% from Cyclical Thoughts Patterns. Being aware of that, I already made a reality check that will help transfer over to the side of the conscious Universal Mind. Now, here are a few interesting things to notice. For highly spiritual people, the Conscious CTPs are very low, because once we’re aware of something holding us back, it’s easy to overcome it; unless we’re getting real benefits from it. Also, Natural Grounding and Self-Awakening meditations make your mind transfer from Cyclical Thoughts Patterns over to the Universal Mind.

Now, here’s something a bit more controversial, yet important to understand. You probably know Bob Proctor who was featured in the movie The Secret. He uses Thurman’s stick-figure diagram all the time to teach about the mind. Here’s the mind balance of Bob Proctor, one of his students who also teaches with Thurman’s model and a student of this student. This is 3 generations of mentors/students using Thurman’s model. See how things evolve from one generation to the next. The names are irrelevant, as it is the principle behind it that you must understand. Besides, I won’t say names if the information doesn’t look good. Keep in mind that this diagram is only one way of representing a person and doesn’t show the whole picture. Each person has strengths and weaknesses not represented in this diagram, and this mind diagram doesn’t include heart consciousness and sexual consciousness.

As you can see in these diagrams, there was high-level knowledge that was passed over from one generation to the next. However, the knowledge of the Universal Mind was rendered as a system and it is the system that was passed over, making a gradual shift from the Universal Mind to Cyclical Thoughts Patterns each time it is passed over. Here’s the thing. Developing your consciousness of the Universal Mind takes time. Using a system that is proven to work really is the fastest way to get results. However, it will also bring rigidity in your life and dis-alignment with spirit. You will still get cyclical results in your life, except that you’ll get results of a higher nature and probably you wouldn’t even notice you’re getting more of the same and how it’s limiting you from living an even richer life.

As we can clearly see by the results, studying the mind based on the Thurman’s model tends to shift your mind over to the Conscious Cyclical Thoughts Patterns. By not differentiating CTPs from UM, it hints at trying to control your unconscious CTPs with your conscious CTPs. It is also an oversimplification that doesn’t show how the Universal Mind works and doesn’t bring it into the picture.

In order to get the most results in your life, the ideal is to live in the conscious Universal Mind as much as possible. This paradigm shift, although highly controversial, now gives you a lot more clarity on the topic that will allow you to get there faster. An inaccurate model brings confusion, and confusion slows your progress. Since much of the highest-level knowledge we can find today is based on Thurman’s mind diagram, this will allow you to understand that knowledge from a higher place of awareness that will allow you to get even better results.

As I said before, everything you desire is already around you. All it takes to get it is the proper knowledge and the proper state of mind. Awareness is the key to having anything you want in life, and a proper map of reality is an essential foundation to awareness.

The average Canadian operates 73% in CTPs (12% conscious, 88% unconscious) and 27% in UM (3% conscious, 97% unconscious). This fits with the scientists saying that we are only using at most 3% of our brain potential.

This is extremely high-level knowledge and I’ve spent several days to clarify everything I shared here and to write this article. I’m realizing there has been some confusion in the message I’ve been sharing recently, and clarifying this is an important step to correcting what is out of alignment with my core message.

There are more important topics I absolutely have to clarify before moving forward, one of which is why are most spiritual people so broke. I feel there’s more to it than “spiritual people not valuing money”, yet nobody seems to have any answers to this. There’s a very profound reality check I will be sharing soon.

Understanding the Mind Part 2

Understanding the Mind Part 1

There are lots of people teaching how to use your mind in more effective ways, and there are lots of various philosophies on the topic. Also, there are various flaws and misconceptions in what is currently being taught by the top spiritual leaders. Truly changing your life happens through the mind, and it requires a proper understanding of how this mind works. In the first part of this article, I am going to expose the most common flaws in what is currently being taught and the consequences of these flawed principles. Then, in the second part, I will put Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick figure diagram of the mind designed around 1938 and really put it to the test. I will expose its flaws and limitations and propose a more complete diagram of the mind that will open you to new possibilities.

Because I am making challenging far-stretching claims here, I will ask you to be really skeptic and to put what I say to the test. Learn to think on your own. What brought you to consciously or subconscious buy into any of these flawed concepts is a lack of skepticism and a lack of critical thinking. In order to be a true skeptic, it is especially important to put your own thoughts and beliefs into question, which is where most skeptics get stuck. I don’t want to you get out of these flawed concepts just to buy into other flawed concepts, nor do I pretend to hold the absolute truth. If I can find flaws in the most advanced philosophical and spiritual concepts being taught today, I’m sure it is possible to dig into even deeper truths. So think on your own.

The quotes I will challenge may not be formulated exactly as the authors said them, and really these are concepts they said in lots of various different ways. What really matters is the ideas that they are preaching. I will write the quote, who teaches it, what the idea behind it is, why it is flawed and what the consequences of the misunderstanding are. First, I must say each of these people are positively impacting thousands if not millions of people, directly or indirectly. This is not to lower the value of what they do in any way. In fact, I only mention those I view with the highest respect because they teach the most advanced content.

Flawed principle #1: “It’s impossible to silence the mind” -Landmark Forum

When I did the Landmark Forum, one of the things they said is that it is impossible to silence that chatter voice in your mind. The exercise really was to become aware of that voice constantly running like crazy in the background of your mind. Well… meditation is all about silencing that noise and reaching a place of stillness. Technically, you can lower that noise to a very low level through meditation but you won’t completely silence it unless you reach spiritual enlightenment. The belief that it can’t be silenced is wrong. You can definitely silence it to 99% which is more than enough for practical use, and a few are able to silence it completely. You can actually access all the wisdom of the world through that stillness. One of the reasons they don’t view that as possible is that they view the rational mind as the driving force of your life. It’s not about getting rid of the rational mind, but rather about removing the gap between your conscious mind, your subconscious mind and stillness. Failure to do so cuts you off from spiritual strength, freedom, intuition and wisdom.

Flawed principles #2: “Life has no meaning or purpose” -Landmark Forum

Another of the exercises at the Landmark Forum was to reach a place where your life is a white board that doesn’t have any meaning or purpose and that you can create anything from there. The idea behind that is to detach you from your past stories that are holding you back and driving your life around in circles. However, what it also does is to cut you off from your spiritual nature and from your place in the global picture. They simply don’t believe there is such a thing as a spiritual nature to life, which can be a very damaging shift when integrated at a core level. Believing life has no purpose means you drive your mind from your ego, it detaches you from your soul’s purpose and it leaves a vacuum in your soul.

Flawed principle #3: “Stillness is all there is, everything else is mistranslation” -Eckhart Tolle

The idea behind most of Eastern philosophies is to reach that place of stillness where there is no suffering. Some call it Nirvana. But to say this is all there is would be inaccurate. I came to realize it through meditative experience and by trying to understand how the forces I was playing with were fitting with each other. Without going into the meditative experience, just think for a moment. If nothingness is all there is, how could this world be created? This would break the laws of physics. Energy can move into form, through form and out of form, but it can never be created or destroyed. One could argue that the physical world is an illusion, but whether you label it as illusion or not, whether it is subjective or not, it is there and you can’t deny it. One could also argue that nothingness contains unlimited energy, but then that wouldn’t be nothingness anymore. The answer is that there are rays of creation, the force of life that creates life THROUGH stillness. There is an unlimited source of power, energy and intelligence that exists beyond stillness and that you access through stillness. Believing stillness is all there is keeps people in a passive state of contentment, and it really prevents you from fully living your life. What’s the point of being born in a physical body if you don’t fully live that life?

Flawed principle #4: “It’s impossible to get rid of fears and anxieties” -Top pick-up artists

I remember back in the dating world, several of the top gurus would say that even they still had fears and anxieties when approaching people. I don’t have any such fears and anxieties since a very long time, so that’s definitely an inaccurate belief. They still have anxieties because they do things that are not aligned with their spiritual nature and they don’t understand how their subconscious mind works to overcome those fears. With the proper knowledge and by aligning your actions with a higher truth, you can definitely get rid of all fears. That being said, it’s a gradual process so there will always be more fears to overcome, in the sense that you can always bring your life to even greater levels.

Flawed principle #5: “Desire is the source of suffering” -Buddha

One of the fundamental principles of Buddhism is that suffering comes from desires. What I read about Buddhism so far also didn’t acknowledge that force beyond stillness, although I’m sure some branches of Buddhism probably do. What causes suffering is attachment, which comes from a sense of lack and not being whole. The word “desire” comes from the Latin “de sidere” which means “from the stars” or “from the divine”. A desire is a thought seeking physical manifestation through you. A plant has the desire to grow because that’s its divine purpose. This doesn’t cause any suffering. Suffering comes from attachment from those desires. Since we are all one and you are the whole universe, the thing you desire is already part of you; you just don’t realize it yet. Suffering comes from the illusion that the thing you desire is separate from you. That being said, there’s another type of desires that come from a dysfunctional place within you which I call cravings. Undervaluing or even transcending desires really prevents you from living your physical life and achieving your purpose in life. It would be like a plant that would decide not to grow because it decided growth is an illusion.

Flawed principle #6: “Emotions are controlled by the intellect” -David Neagle

One common principle in the self-development world is to control your emotions with your intellect instead of letting your life be driven around by your fears, emotions and past stories. What this does not acknowledge is that there are two types of emotions. There are positive emotions which are energies in motion that are really the force of life that is driving you forward and inspiring you, bringing growth and joy into your life. Then, there are negative emotions which are rooted in fears, limiting beliefs and past stories that are restricting that flow of pure blissful energy. Maybe your intellect influences your current state, but really the way you feel is dictated by the way fears and beliefs are programmed into your subconscious mind, which you can’t change with your intellect, so the impact your intellect has on your emotions is limited. Then, where do your thoughts come from? If you have the choice between chocolate and vanilla ice-cream, which one do you choose and why? If you really dig down into it, your thoughts either come from your programmed beliefs or from your inspiration. Trying to control your emotions from your intellect simply disconnects you from your authenticity and creativity. There’s not much difference between emotions and intuitions, these are just different frequencies of energies in motion. The key is to remove the gap between the conscious mind and the subconscious so that they work together.

Flawed principle #7: “Thoughts create things”

This is a core principle behind the law of attraction which has been used by countless people. It is true that the physical world is a reflection of the mind, except a few major details. First, your rational thoughts do not create anything. Your physical, emotional and spiritual states do. It’s only the emotional weight behind a thought that has any impact. As David Neagle said, if you want to manifest a desire, you don’t have to visualize it with your intellect. All you have to do is to reconnect with the emotional source behind the desire within your subconscious mind. That carries weight. Then, saying that thoughts create things is an oversimplification of what is really going on. Unless you live in an isolated bubble, you live in a world of co-creation. There is a spiritual plane that exists in parallel to the physical world which organizes chaos through time. Your mind is connected to that plane through your intuition, dreams and emotions. Since we live in a world of co-creation, there are complex energetic structures and dynamics going on within that plane. As a simple example, if you do something out of fear or lack, it will create a negative karmic link that will draw equally negative experiences to you no matter how much you practice positive thinking. Your karma, the thoughts of others around you and many subtleties within the structure of your energy field are influencing the creation of your life. Then, if your intention or path in life conflicts with other people’s intentions, this can create a situation where you have to claim the energetic space within the realm of thoughts which would have a direct impact on the other person. I have yet to hear anyone talk about these dynamics of co-creation.

Flawed principle #8: “In order to change your subconscious mind, you must first experience different results” -David Neagle

There are ways to directly change the way your subconscious mind is programmed at a very core level. However, most of the healing techniques currently being taught out there are not very effective. Otherwise you would see lots of people walking down the street with complete happiness, health and abundance. The fact that so many people are still broke, stuck, single and have health issues shows that most healing methods aren’t that effective. You can change your subconscious programming by taking different actions that will make you experience a different reality, but since this will only have an indirect impact on your subconscious and since it is your subconscious that creates your reality, this will not completely clear out the fears and limiting beliefs from your subconscious mind. Also, from what I have seen, this approach of taking actions in spite of the subconscious blocks is very challenging to go through and not everybody makes it through, but it does bring results. The truth is: you can directly alter the subconscious mind which will immediately transform your reality. Everything you need to achieve anything is already around you. All it takes is the proper understanding and the proper emotional state, which all comes from within. The only reason you wouldn’t get the external result is if you aren’t fully aware of what is truly holding you back. Awareness, in and of itself, transmutes limitations in the same way that light removes shadows from a room.

How did I come up with this awareness that challenges even the top spiritual leaders? I just didn’t take anything for granted. I’ve been a computer programmer for a very long time and I’ve always been very skeptic. I don’t just want the results but I try to understand the way things truly work. I put everything into question, especially my own beliefs. One of my students was a very skeptic and arrogant poker player. His life completely changed and he ended up being an extremely skilled psychic. He can look at your picture and tell you exactly what you strengths and weaknesses are without knowing you, and precisely measuring each aspect of your being from your energy field, in the same way that I do. The reason he progressed so fast is because he believes in himself and puts everything into question, which includes asking me the toughest questions. He detects whatever doesn’t feel right and doesn’t accept any bullshit. He’ll ask questions and go for the truth. If you truly seek the truth, this is the attitude you should have to get results. That being said, most teachers don’t like being asked questions going out of the boundaries of what they know.

In the next part of this article, I’m going to go through the famous stick-figure of the mind created by Dr. Thurman Fleet in (I believe) 1938, I’ll explain how it is limited and I will propose a more complete diagram that will open new doors of possibilities into your life. A fundamental shift in your map of reality can change absolutely everything else.

3 Secrets to Adapt to Travel Jet Lag FAST

I just went to a live event in San Diego hosted by my coach Max Simon and flied all the way from Bangkok. That’s a nice 14h jet lag! 15h jet lag on the way back because time just changed. Interestingly enough, after these 30 hours of travel and 14h jet lag, I wasn’t feeling jet lag at all and was one of the most woken up person of the whole event. There is a LOT I could say about that event, and that will be in another article after I rest with it for a while. For now, I wanted to share my secrets to adapt to jet lag quickly without being dizzy and phased out. These tips are especially useful for inter-continental flights and when you have to take several planes for 20 or 30 hours.

The first tip is about purchasing your plane ticket. Use Kayak.com to search and compare flights through all companies. View airline quality reviews on flightscore.com. It’s well worth paying an extra 5-10% to get a better airline or to have a flight that does not transfer into the United States (if you’re not flying to or from the USA). After a few flights, you’ll realize why many Europeans are now taking longer flights when going to South America to avoid passing through the USA.

Then, you have to know what to bring with you in the plane. Bring some quality headphones with good sound insulation. If you’re doing Self-Awakening meditations, it’s worth getting professional headphones. I got Beyerdynamics DT 770 and it cuts the plane noise away. I can listen to quiet music while sleeping in the plane by plugging them into my phone, and they’re very comfortable. Also bring a sweater that can serve as a pillow if you want to sleep in an airport. Plus, some airports can be chilly. Bring a few snacks so you always have something to eat nearby. Next time, I would also bring earplugs and a neck pillow to make a more comfortable sleep.

The next part is the most important: managing your sleep and eat cycles. When you leave, set the time on your cellphone to the destination time. Don’t sleep too much before leaving. That way, you’ll sleep on the way and arrive when you wake up. Listen to what your body needs in terms of food and sleep, and try to sleep during night-time of the destination. Visualize yourself being already at the destination. If you’re being served diner in the plane and it’s breakfast time at the destination, consider that you are eating breakfast and you might want to take a coffee. If you’re being served breakfast and it’s diner time at the destination, don’t take any coffee and get ready to sleep shortly.

When you get to your destination, get a full night of sleep and you’ll wake up fresh in the morning. Make sure to sleep at the destination’s night time and stay up until then! You already had all the travel time to adapt to the new time zone.

The flight back from San Diego to Bangkok was a bit harder to make. I checked out from the hotel at 11am and the flight left at 11pm for 33 hours. That means I couldn’t get any good rest during the day and I spent two night times in the plane. That was tough. It would have been better to get an earlier flight after having at least a half-night of good sleep.

Keep these in mind next time you take the plane and enjoy!

This is a great article and I don’t have any call-to-action. Quite frankly, I don’t even know what it is that I do anymore. A lot got stirred up during the What’s Working Now Live event in San Diego. I’ll share more about that later. The one thing that became clear is that what I thought I was doing really isn’t at the level of what I’m actually doing. For now, the plan is to take a flight to the islands in the South of Thailand and get some rest on the beach. Alright, talk soon.
